Well there wasn't anything hateful in gman's posts about the Black Panthers and Karenga, but that is how some feel about these events. Actually, I thought those posts were being quite generous. I feel sometimes the emotionalism surrounding these seasons leaves too little room for critical analysis.

On the other hand, rasi did not seriously challenge your post. He agrees with parts and is stating his preferences for other parts. I doubt he can persecute you for supporting Robert Mugabe as an African liberator. Everyone will not agree with you or I, or even each other out there. You qualified your support in your post, stating (in your own way) that your support was for Mugabe seizing lands from whites. Zimbabwe was under attack for strongly supporting the opposition to apartheid in South Africa.

With all of that said, I personally do not hold Mugabe in the highest esteem, I can fault him for many things, but the recent media criticisms of him are about one thing; seizing lands from whites. I am not assisting them by discrediting Mugabe at this time. Once they keep the sanctions and threats on Zimbabwe, I have nothing to say that can lend support to their propaganda. When they back off completely, then we can always discuss what moves could have better advanced the process. Mugabe's flaws are quite similar to many other leaders of his era.
