We Zimbabweans have heard a lot about this so called intervention by the West. What we know is that had we any oil, they would have come in guns blazing. The problems in Zimbabwe did not start yesterday, so anyone holding their breath for them to step in has been holding it for a very long, long time.

Besides, what the hell are the US and the UK going to do? Slap Mugabe on the wrist? Kill him? Will that solve the problem? Or will that just give us another dictator?

Zimbabweans accros the political divide have made it clear that a US or UK intervention would be regarded as an invasion of our country and would be resisted.

I am not going to speak for the MDC. I am not going to speak for any organisation.

The way I see it, Blacks in the West are of little consequence in the Zimbabwe issue. Only Zimbabweans can deal with it.

What I do resent is the kind of rubbish, distortions and misconstruction of facts that circulate within not just the Western media but also the so-called Black and Pan-Afrikan media.
