i think we should be at a point where we can deal with some facts of history and not shy away from it. i think there is a tendency to do this when some facts do not fit in with our rosy colored picture of our idols. IMO - this only means we have to dig deeper - i don't think it takes anything away from what Selassie I represents in the context of the African diaspora to recognize and deal with historical context. IMO, to not do so is an indication of poor character and not at all indicitive of the root for which I and I strive.
