I think you are deliberately using information out of context. I spoke of the fact that Ethiopia was instrumental in the European Crusades in their effort to forcefully spread Christianity to other parts of the world that they considered heathen. As Ethiopian monarchs also saw themselves as champions of Christianity they had no problem with this crusading mission. You are taking titbits from a much later period to attempt to invalidate what I have said.
You have provided a quote but not given its context and source. I am quite aware that not only were there ethnic rivalries, but also internal power struggles within the Solomonic line itself, and factions within that power struggle would have fallen in and out of favour with their European allies at any given time depending on their own agendas. I am not certain of the accuracy and context of that quote, so please provide the source.
