Re: Let us admit that there is a color competition

Hello, Empress Afrique, thanks for your response and for sharing your experiences. Apart from the wonderfully articulated and informative articles in other areas on the site your message is one of the best I’ve had a chance to read.

As undoubtedly apparent in my writing I have all but lost faith in Black Movements here in the USA because of the colorism issues, and disingenuous behavior. But I have not lost faith in Black people. There are some strong brothers and sisters out there who will not delude, devalue, and degrade Mother Africa.

It goes without saying I believe the Black African face with Negroid features should be the head and symbol of any organization in its name. Nonetheless, the colorism problem is so deeply rooted even within leadership that it may never be completely solved. But that should and will not stop dark skin Blacks from (Acting) and being proud of who they are.

Moreover, the Michael Jackson’s and Lil Kim’s among us are indeed sickening, and will likely increase because of interbreeding and self-loathing blacks. People are already bleaching their skin. Most haven't gone to the extreme of pale pathetic Michael Jackson [yet]. Notwithstanding, as soon as cosmetic surgery becomes affordable to the average person, lots more disfigured faces like Lil Kim’s will surface to compete with the so-called standard of beauty -white and mixed race people. It's so embarassing. Where is the pride in being and loving who you are NATURALLY? This is why it is evermore important for conscious Blacks to take a stand and MEAN IT.

All Respect to the board.
