Re: Rasta is more than a few clichés

I find this response a little patronising. I have studied many books on Rastafari, where it came from, why it originated and under what circumstances. Sadly, I am unable to get further into it as I am stopped by the very Rastas themselves (people on this board)who do not wish to share their livity and knowledge with people who want to learn. All they seem to see is a white skin (as you did) and are not prepared to understand what lies in the soul of another human being who want to learn and understand. This I find somewhat puzzling. There is still this black/white divide and until we can all see through it one is still going to get the same boring old responses that block learning about other people's cultures and living on a multicultural earth. Surely, our path in life is to get out there to teach about multiculturalism and show how Rasta is a way forward instead of constantly bellyaching about Babylon and Colonialism. In truth, I don' think I would want to learn from a bunch of winging 'Rastas' in inverted commas, because I really don't think that I have much to learn from them about their 'livity' in inverted commas as I am certain that the true path of Rastafari overrides all the negativity daubed on this board. Thanks but no thanks

P.S. you can be sure that I shall not be responding again.
