Re: The gift of a wired president to a wired race

Iziz!

Stick to the issues Fyaman! The fact is that it was documented folks saw her having to wait on Marley's girlfriends. Where is it written that any person can have romantic relations with others while married? And even if Rita Marley wrote her book for money---that's how its done, I am glad that she is writting about her life for all to read the truth of the matter. Still, this does not take away from Bob Marley's faith and deeds he was a strong Rasta and he is still recognized as such. I would like your input on his mother's claims that she had been fondled by Marley's father way before they were married and when she was a young girl---which led to her running away to him when she fought with her family.

I am a not a Jamaican nor am I the same skin complexion as Rita and Marley's mother. However, these are just examples cited in writting that all of us read and can refer too. Baba Marcus had begun the thread about the problems of color in our communities and here it is documented among some of our most famous members. As far as the dirty laundry stuff...Sorry pal it's been aired a long time ago when Marley did not keep his stuff behind closed doors and it was done for all to see. Various folks who travelled with him and interviewed him documented his womanizing and how this alienated Rita Marley who seemed to always be the darker sister in their midst.

Please try to be constructive in your remarks otherwise you sound like a grouppy with to much daze in his eyes. Wake up dread and smell the truth...Read on pick up some of these articles and books about Marley and you'll see for yourself. Perhaps since they are written by men and white folks the likes of Chris Blackwell you will be more likely to accept them as clean laundry or fresh smelling. Baba Marcus's point is made here there is a skin color problem in our communities and it STINKS and so does the sexism!
