Contrary to popular assumption (judging from personal emails and posts on this thread), I am not "mixed" according to USA standards. I don't have a white parent. My entire life, I've always been black, knew that I was black, etc.
My parents grew up under segregation and suffer all of the consequences for not being white. I've been told stories of them sitting in the backs of theatres, etc. I was born on what was at one time called, "Nigger Hill." It was called that because that's where the white said that the niggers lived.
I was not privileged because of my skin hue. White people would come to school on Halloween dressed as the Klan. All of the black people sat together at lunch because there was that unspoken barrier. I've had jobs where white people told my boss that the "nigger" stole their money, etc. I am not/never was privileged.
My mom was a nurse's aid and white people would tell the "nigger" to not touch them. My father had the same experiences at his job. None of us benefited from our hue. I was born in the projects (gov't housing) and my father eventually was able to move us out. Etc., etc...
My parents sat in the backs of theatres, stayed in black sections of town, etc. I am an adult and realize that racism, hueism is wrong. I will die before I am FORCED to sit at the back of the bus. I don't care if some so-called darker, dreaded RasTafari elder is telling to sit in the back and know my place. Aaron Judah will not do it! I know my place. It's right up front or wherever I want it to be.
I don't/won't sit in back and I don't make anyone else sit in the back. Black, white, yellow, red, male, female, asian, afrikan, hispanic, etc. We all ride up front. I will fight and disagree with you, but we'll all be fighting from the front seat. I refuse to tolerate this stupidity of hueism.
"How long have you trod?" "You need to study." "Raspect your elders." "You don't understand the situation."
I'm old enough and know enough to determine that I am bowing to YHWH/Jah only. No backseat for me. I said it, I meant it and I live it. Just because some of you so-called black/darker people have hue issues, that doesn't mean that Aaron Judah has to bow to you.
Death is better than the back of the bus. Regardless of whatever else is said about me, my hue and my RasTafari affiliation, I know that much to be true. I'll die before I bow to hueism from anybody (white, "blacker," yellow, red, etc.). And the sad reality is that one day some of you "black police" will need help and the only ones around will be us "white-like" privileged people. Being the hyprocrites that you are, you'll gladly accept our assistance and not think about your wrong mentality.
That is my final statement on this Dr. Tafari issue. If you people can't understand that, you need to study.
