Well I am certain that you are new to this forum and have no clue about how it function, how it is funded or the works that it carries out, without government or corporate sponsorship. You also appear to be quite clueless about the stance that many on this board have taken on the issue of coloursim, particularly in the Caribbean. I suggest you investigate the many articles, preferably with some additional, much needed research material and a dictionary.
The very crux of the Caribbean malaise is colourism and colonialism. The fact remains that throughout the Caribbean and indeed throughout all Diaspora communities where Africans are present, light-skinned blacks are treated preferentially, both by those within the black communities and outside of it. They are often allowed to be the spokespeople for black issues for several reasons – they fit an aesthetic preference that is more appealing to racist whites and brainwashed blacks; they have their own internalized superiority complexes that makes them adopt the trappings of whiteness and the attitudes of whites to take the forefront in black organizations over more experienced, often better informed darker ones; and also the fact that they really often do not get the heart of the issues under discussion, and do not have the experience to articulate the ills of the corrupt system that is in any way threatening to the white majority.
The solution to this is not to pander to their bad attitudes and say we are all black, lets work together and forget the injustice that exists in reality. The first step and most critical one is for all to understand and accept where they stand in this corrupt system and deal with the issues from there. And when it comes to leadership, certainly the only way to address one extreme imbalance is to first go in the extreme opposite direction - in the face of overwhelming whiteness, we respond with overwhelming blackness.
While it may sound cute to say we are all mixed anyway and that no one is any pure race, the sociological truth is that people respond to their own idea of phenotype, not biological, genetic makeup. If you don’t get this, and refuse to accept that reality and work form there, then you really need to get a clue.
