I don't think that you are looking at the pictures. This man is not white. Yella, brown, High Yellow, Red-Boned, whatever. He is not white according to my understanding. Go to the links and look at the pictures.
If he is white, maybe we have a different definition here in USA.
As far as not understanding the black struggle. If you care so much about the position, schedule a meeting with the man and make sure that he understands your point. If he doesn't, throw him away. Complain about him, boycott him until he is removed. Check his works before you pass on him.
Anyway, he is not white.
