Could you tell me a bit about the Kiddud Maqdas movement? As for my own religious/spiritual beliefs, I tend to take a much less committed stance. I am interested in pantheism and ancient religions (non-Christian/non-Muslim/non-Jewish) from all over the world. I feel that there is something that could be called "God", but I think it's very difficult to make definite statements about it. It could be called the "Great Spirit" or even "Universal Consciousness" (which can be male, female, niether or both).
By the way, I think it's good that Christians in your country use the Shona term "Mwari" for God, just as Christian Zulus use their indigenous term "Unkulunkulu". This shows that God is God no matter what you call him/her/it. Or as God says in the Hindu scriptures, "Whoever you are worshipping, you are worshipping me".
You describe the ancestor Nohureka as the guiding spirit of the "Babylonian" iddimmu (I don't know what "iddimmu" means). Rastafarians tend to use the term "Babylonian" to refer to something evil. Does this mean that you regard Ancestralism as evil?
