3)i would say that a rose by any other name is not still a rose. a rose is what it was originally. meaning the male dominated hunter gatherer society(patriarchy) that originally existed on the eurasian steppes prior to 35,000bc is not the same patriarchy of barbarism that re-entered the southern hemisphere after 10,000 bc.

4)patriarchy in africa may have never changed but it was infected by a 'new patriarchy' and changed from what it originally was. that is why i see the patriarchal faith of the bible, for instance, as foreign to africa and essentially barbarian

not only is it because the role of the man as hunter, etc. is more pronounced and thus this is reflective an ice age culture, it is also because the people who invaded the southern hemisphere after the end of the last major ice age promoted their patriarchy by barbarism.

during the ice age men not only hunted scarce animals for necessity but they also hunted other men, women and children as food. cro magnon was a cannibal or not? the patriarchy of barbarism after a certain point was never a respector of human life. yes it cleaned itself up a bit but witness the destruction.
