iyah360, when i refer to patriarchal societies i borrow from cheikh anta diop's 'civilization and barbarism'. from diop's explanation of what african patriarchy became on the eurasian plain after thousands of years of ice age habitation by the exiles of africa, ones may overstand that the patriarchal system tranfered to barbarism is nothing similiar to original african matriarchal/patriarchal values of civilization or the ice free world.
iyah, patriarchal nomadic people in africa are comparable to patriarchal nomadic people of ice age europe? obviously not the same patriarchy.
