peace and hotep,
israelite anbessa, here is a quotation of a speech said to have been delivered by him in 1954:
"we in ethiopia have one of the oldest versions of the bible but however old the version may be, in whatever language it may be written, the words remain the same. it transcends all boundaries of empire and all conceptions of race, it is eternal. no doubt you will all remember reading in the acts of the apostles of how phillip baptized the ethiopian official. he is the first ethiopian to have followed christ and from that day onwards, the word of god has continued to grow in the hearts of ethiopians. and i might say for myself that from my early childhood i was taught to appreciate the bible and my love for it increased with the passage of time."
in a later section of this quotation, the emperor is quoted as saying that he has always encouraged his people to read the bible and " THAT THEY SHOULD FIND THE TRUTH FOR THEMSELVES."
disregarding the rest of what might be a contradition for the CULTISTS, they took this phrase as a directive that rastafarians would accept no other INTERP(R)ETATION of the bible,
but that which they themselves have evolved.
------the rastafarians by leonard e. barrett, sr
israelite anbessa, i say again that rastafari is not a cult of blind followers. are cultist afraid of revelation?
does rastafari disapprove and abhor utterly hate, jealousy, envy, deceit, guile, treachery, etc? i see that cultist approve of such.
come correct or answer to the whole board.....as i stated before i can afford to appear foolish.
