I couldn't really add anything to this statement from Tyehimba, so all I could really do is second it.
Pianke it was a while back that a statement of yours made me question your motives, you were talking about how Black males were always being unfairly attacked by Black females in rap music... you would have to be selectively deaf not to hear that there are 10 songs saying 'b*tches ain't s***' on the airwaves for every one about 'n****s ain't s***'. And then there was something on your site about how young black males need to be very careful when at parties cos there will be sisters there scheming on how they can trick them into getting them pregnant and/or falsely accuse them of rape. I mean, if you were talking about multi-millionaire sports stars or rappers I could see your point there, but to say that the average young black male needs to worry that every sister is after his bank account (assuming he has one, most young black inner-city folk in amerikkka don't as far as I've seen) and/or his sperm bank, is a gross insult to the sisters. Come on we all know sisters who have held it down with us when we were broke, had nothing, who were always there for us, I think Black women are very loyal until you break their heart one time too many, perhaps it is we Black men who need to learn a lesson from this loyalty.
But there is one thing I would differ with Tyehimba on, that most single parent families are the result of Black men neglecting their responsibilities, of course this is true in a lot of cases, but remember the high percentage of Black men who are locked up, I think I know at least as many single sisters whose partners are behind bars, as those whose partners ran away from family responsibilities.
