It is funny that ones think that somehow researching into history and seeing the bible as reflecting older ideas is somehow negating the bible and Selassie I. If ones cannot see the wisdom behind the scriptures except through the lense of them literally reflecting an actual history, then I would say it is these ones who are really not overstanding.
Rastafari to me never meant literally following a book that we can use I and I minds and find out earlier sources for these same ideas and STILL fight the obvious.
I have seen a picture of the man Ras Tafari as a youth with his head shaved except for one section which is allowed to grow - this was common in the ancient Nile Valley civilizations - this was called the Horus lock. For I, Rastafari reflect so much more than the box you put it in.
