Re: Did I read correctly?
In Response To: Did I read correctly? ()

Greetings.

If defining Rastafari as the source from which all life manifest INIversally - then it is to this that we give all Ises to as it manifest I and I as it manifest through I and I. This is the source which exists which give birth to the ALL before physical characteristics are borne.

So in that I agree.

I think that both the I and the idea of Selassielive are correct in the proper perspective. Just as Selassie I speaks of the formation of the new race which will owe its allegience to one another and not to a particular nation - let us not forget that in a practical sense - Haile Selassie very much stood for the independence of his country and worked for the emancipation of Africa as a continent through the OAU. Selassie never forgot that he was an African, working for the independence of Ethiopia specifically and Africa collectively - in this way Selassie was dealing with the realities that faced him and working WITH those rather than IGNORING them in favor of a global community where Africa did not stand as an equal amongst the nations.
