Re: The Elder Douglas Mack says Study your Bible!

"Why the question, came Isralite Religion out of Africa or into Africa?
Like I said, in those days, the near east WAS part of Africa! "

The Twa, Mbuti, improperly referred to as "pygmies" have within their belief system the root ideas of the Egyptians and also the Jews. Any anthropologist will tell you that these small people are among the oldest remnants of the human family. Now these people dwell near the root of the nile river which travels, as you know, from South to North. Ideas travelled this path and civilizations sprang up along it. Indigenous African groups - include the Bushmen in Southern Africa - another one of the oldest remnants of the human family - possess stories, rituals and symbols which today are equated with groups such as the Jews.

"But I see what you mean, yes it is said that Elder Moses got a high Egypt education... but never forget that his main teacher was always JAH! Israel lived 400 years in Egypt, 70 people went in it and ca 600 000 went out it in the Exodus... so for shure there was a strong egypt influence."

Is this story really true? If we know that the indigenous African groups pre-dated these "Jews" and developed most of the stories, ideas and symbols which we ascribe to these old testament "Jews" - isn't this a bit odd to say it was these "Jews" that spread the knowledge into all parts of Africa?

"Sometimes it is said, that Elder Moses I had the idea of "one god" from the egypts, but already Abraham new that there is only ONE GOD! But Abraham was in Egypt too... "

Again - are we mistaking mythological figures which existed in the indigenous African mind for historical figures which were adopted and given a flesh and blood history to another people?

I would say because the bible is held in such high regard around the world and a book of authority, many people want to relate to it. I am saying - why do we need to do this when the ROOTS of which the bible is but a shadow to are available to us to look into?

I think we need dig deeper - the roots that have been found through this limited thinking and bible idolatry are not tapping the groundwater which we are reaching for.
