one of the greatest glories of rasta for i is that no one is in charge. now if this debate was being held in the catholic church (for example) i would be having grave concerns. they have doctrine, and if the pope said 'no more mixed marriages' that would be a pretty big deal.

if Baba Ras Marcus says 'no more mixed marriages', it is a totally different thing altogether. He is voicing an opinion, sharing his experience, his knowledge, but i would be pretty surprised if he wanted to ENFORCE this ideal.

in the end this is about individual choice, and this debate is part of what would inform someones personal choice.

so i would humbly suggest that the level of personal attack that would seem to be creeping in here is possibly misplaced. in the end this is the net, these are just words, and people will make up their own minds.
