Re: FROM CHRISTIANITY TO AFRIKAN CONSCIOUSNESS

I posted the piece for consideration. The views expressed in it, i don't necessarily agree with 100 %, but this is besides the point.

I sight Africa as the source, and Kemet is not apart from this. Furthermore, when Marcus Garvey and early rastas talked about Ethiopia, they were referring to the whole of the continent. I notice that some, especially white Rastas just say Ethiopia, and mean the lil fragment of the country that was defined as such by the Europeans in the Berlin conference of 1889.

I agree that some overglorify Kemet and ignore the rest of civilzations that go right back up the river Nile to modern day Ethiopia and Uganda. It must be realized that what happened in Kemet was simply a continuation of the principles and beliefs that was practiced deep deep in central Africa. For example, the Diety Bes, which was conceptualized by the Twa people. later became known as Heru/Horus in Kemet.

The egyptians themselves were clear where they came from, they said that ' we came from the beginning of the Nile river, by the mountain of the Moon, where the God Hapi dwelled'. There are two mountains known as mountains of the Moon which correspond to the blue nile and the white Nile. There is one is in modern day Ethiopia and one is in Uganda.

"They (the Ethiopians) say also that the Egyptians are colonists sent out by the Ethiopians, Osirish aving been the leader of the
colony...And the larger part of the customs of the Egyptians are, they hold,Ethiopian..." (Diodorus Siculus, Book III. 2. 4-3. 3)

Thus Egypt/Kemet is not apart from Ethiopia/Africa/Rasta. Rastafari is about gaining African consciousnessw which has pre-dated the bible/Chtistianity/Judaism/Hinduism by thousands of years. It started with the ordinary Africans deep deep in Africa who through understanding natural law saw the importance of moral conduct and character refinement. They were the first Christs (God consciousness individuals) that existed long before the biblical Jesus and the myth Adam, Eve, Noah etc. they were the first to, as the ancient Kemetic/Egyptian papyrus stated, 'enter into the house of Rasta'.
