Indeed, most Black American Rastas on this Board are violently opposed to the fact that the Rastafari philosophy has been embraced by people of non-Black races...."
I have not seen this hostility in Jamaica whether in Kingston or the country neither in Ethiopia. But in amerikkka, when i go to a rasta function people look on me as a police or spy or CIA, and online because i have archived materials on HIM for all to enjoy and learn from, i get accused of trying to "take over" rasta.
where's the take over part? everyone is free to make a website and put up what they want.
as you said there are black/asian indian even syrian rastas in JA and they don't look twice at them.
It seems odd to pick the white rasta as a target since they are hailing a Black King and trying to live upright. There's many other people like our so called leaders who should be getting fire for perpetrating inequity.
we should be collectively fighting evil and downpression in all races. judge people by works and deeds not melanin.
"Above all Ethiopia is dedicated to the principle of the equality of ALL men Irrespective of differences of RACE Colour or Creed. As we do not practice or permit descrimination within our Nation, so we oppose it wherever it is found...we comdemn any social or political order that distinguishes among God's children on this most specious grounds.
