"You are all arguing over white mans gods."
That seems very much the truth and it has made me wonder as well.
"Turn to Amon Re, Shango, Olegba, Shu, Tefnut, Hathor, and Oludumare. learn medu netcher."
I'd think that should be a good advice for anybody wanting to find her/his roots. Could you please give some hint as to where to get information about them?
However it seems to me that there also does exist with some people almost an obsession to find what is 'more original' etc., without being clear as to what that means to us today. In one post I said that it is much agreed that the original men came from Africa. My question as to what that means to the person who was discussing with me never had been answered, but it was hinted that this was a proof of 'black supremacy' or alike. We also do agree that before the men the was the monkey, before them there were who knows what kind of mammals. Are they, or their 'culture' supreme?
I think we are well adviced when we are searching 'today', with all the means which we have today, learning from traditions and integrating them, but not plainly adobting them.
Peace and respect,
kuuan
