Rt. Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey Says:

"That we implore members of the race to acquire an intelligent interpretation of the Bible and the other recognized religious books. Ethiopians make of their religion a fountain of inspiration rather than a valley of tears, lamentation and fear. That members of the race conceive their Deity as Spirit not foreign to their own creation but akin to it. That when it becomes necessary as is the traditional religious practice to think of this Deity in physical form his image and likeness be dramatized in the physical beauty and chracteristics of the Ethiopian himself. That the sources of all religious literature and propaganda not contained in the Bible be throughly analyzed to avert mental misconceptions before adopting their philosophies to the spiritual life of the race." Ras Tafari naw Egzi'abhear.
