Re: Education the Key
In Response To: Re: Education the Key ()

I have another take on this. In many parts of the world from Africa to China there is this skin-bleaching problem. People are risking all sorts of cancers and skin problems just to get a pale look which is a result of how they are trained to view success or power in relation to their skin-colour.

They are suffering from the same ‘missed-education’ about the value of Black. If they were properly educated about blacks they may stop denying the roots of their civilizations and will get a better view of themselves in the world. This makes a world of difference when looking at any cultural view. If you believe the pale skin is the preferred look of success then you neglect the Black parts of your culture and disrespect all people who are dark in complexion.

Never mind the aid Europe, Japan and China sends to Africa. Their view is they are helping these poor helpless people and not people who are victims of genocide, cultural disruption, destruction and distortions. The sympathy aid is just another reaffirmation of their superiority (power).

As a matter of fact it is mostly Africans who spend time studying various world cultures looking for similarities and differences. To properly understand the African worldview today you are forced to examine all other cultures.
