I knew Bob Marley from 1972 till his passing, spent many days up at 56 Hope Road in his presence. It was there I first learnt about i-tal food, which is all Bob would eat. And some fish. There was one brethren there who just did the cooking. Bob liked to drink fresh peanut porrige in the mornings, and lots of callaloo. He toured with a cook always,in the days long before hotels knew anything about 'vegetarian' cuisine or 'healthy eating'. I think I can testify that he never changed this way of eating.

As to the rest of your question about Why did Bob seek medical treatment in Babylon, others are better qualified to have answers. In my novel JOSEPH - A RASTA REGGAE FABLE, based losely on the life of Bob, the hero "Joseph" returns home to the mystic healers in a Jamaican mountain monastery for healing, and eventual cure.

I feel this might have been the outcome if Bob's life had taken this course, but then again.... who can say why JAH decided that Bob's work on earth no longer needed a flesh temple to be EVERLIVING??!!!!!

Does it matter what path the story of Bob Marley's life travelled? Let us ignore the negatives, and celebrate the POSITIVE VIBRATIONS!
