The 12 tribes and the confusion around them has many reasons.
1. Gad man is not living a life that the Rastaman should follow, I know from his visit in Sweden how he misbehaved, drinking himself incomscious, had sex with underaged children and misbehaved. But he is not the tribes him alone. The tribes has done many good things and are doing a good work in Shashamane.
2. In definition they are not rastafarian. The claim to be but are not. The basic concept which all rastafari people share is the knowledge of his imperial majesty Haile Selassie I is the living god. There is no rastafarI without that. The tribes is a christian sect with rastafari habits and traditions.
