There are both Historical(Kebra nagast) and biblical(bible) references that show Selassie's linage as of divine blood. This is the most important issue when looking at the idea of praising Selassie.
Many RASTA claim different approaches to his divinity. Some see HIM as Christ returned, some as JAH, a new messiah, Prophet and so on.
The RCO teaches that the most important aspect of praising Selassie is that it does not matter how one praises HIM as long as they accept his Divinity.
Without this one cannot move forward as a true RASTA.
It is a personal heartfelt and as you learn more and more about the RASTA lifestyle you will find what is right within your own heart and thoughts to what RASTA is to you.
