This is a bit off the topic but on the same subject. I am not a "scholar" on Indian Saddhus/hinduism, etc.

Yet I have read several times on this board and elsewhere years ago that the Indian Saddhus and/or "darker" Indians are of African origins.

Setting aside the initial origins of all mankind from Africa, I consider that millions of years have passed since that time. I, personally do not consider, Europeans to be Africans just because of this long-ago origin. I do not consider Chinese to be Africans just because of this origin. And frankly I do not consider Indians to be Africans; either. Everyone of these peoples have their own unique qualities which makes them .. themselves and quite different from Africans.

Again I am not a scolar on these issues, but I must say that I am not one to classify any and everybody as African, just because they come from that region, which was long ago connected.

Nowadays, I hear some say that Chinese have African roots. Or I've actually seen some speak of the Oriental as the Asiatic Black man, etc.

My questions are:

I wonder if anyone has come across any information on how the Indian Saddhus feel about Africans? about Africa? Do they, themselves, acknowledge and consider Africa as their home of old? and Africans as their "brothers"?

Generally speaking, is there a consensus amongst them that their is this "connection" between themselves and Africa? or is the "connection" to far in the distant past?

Do they know or care that some African scolars are pulling them or placing them within recent (?) "african geneology"?

Perhaps the darker Indians that i've met are not Saddhus, but they certainly don't know of, feel, OR express any connections with Africa.

Any info would be helpful
